5 Rules to stay calm under work stress

Heading to New Year always ignite that feeling you want to be a super star at your work, house, Gym, actually everywhere. That makes the stress increase in general. You start to have this psychological pressure that you have to meet certain standards to be considered a winner. In this article we will try to help you stay calm under work pressure as a main sources of stress. So we will mention below strategies for managing stress in the workplace.

Staying calm at first means you are ready to have a releasing routine that help you get the stress out. It’s a commitment to your soul, body and mind; you have to understand that being calm and quite in this nowadays fast world are a skill that now everyone know, so mastering it is a really special and will change your life.

To reach that level of control so you can be able to calm yourself down or control your timber and pressure. You will have just to live your normal life in a good manner. The following points are all things you do in a daily basics but we will advise you on how to do them right, actully doing them wrong considered causes of stress at work!

1- Sleep well, wake up well, go to work well!

As Mahatma Gandi said “Each night, when I go to sleep, I die. And the next morning, when I wake up, I am reborn.”
How can you be reborn with not enough sleep?! How your day would go on great if you can’t start it all with an energetic wake up!

Sleeping control all of our lives, it’s as important as diet and excersise and may be even more important. Now  let’s get into how you can have a good amount of sleep.

  • Turn off your electronics and head to reading a book before bed.
  • Use essential oils to relax and maybe some pillow mist.
  • Keep the lights off, set in the dark for a while and keep your room dark.
  • Watch your caffeine intakes before bed

 

2- Exercise till its normal, and then exercise more!

Arnold Schwarzenegger said, “Training gives us an outlet for suppressed energies created by stress and thus tones the spirit just as exercise conditions the body”. Exercise is proved to be one of the best ways to put your life on track. Exercising not just help you release negative energy stress, it affect your time management skills, improve your health in general and help you get in shape so you boost your self-confidence which make it one of the best strategies to handle stress.

Let’s tell you how it works, when your brain is put under pressure with all the nerves connected together, it directly give an impact on your body. So if you release these energy on regular basics your brain and body would come on terms on dealing with it in a calm way. And here are a couple of advices that may help you choose your exercise.

  • Try out a couple of exercises until you find what suits you
  • Don’t decide before a month as usually it starts in a hardcore and you will mix it being hard with being boring
  • Try to pick something that you enjoy to connect the fun to the sweat
  • Find a training partner that will keep you on track

 

3- Breathe and Meditate

Only those who know how to breathe will survive. – Pundit Acharya, as much it sounds obvious but actually survive is not just living day by day I’s being able to live happily through all the stress you face on a daily basics. We ignore the fact that breathing right is the fastest way to calm down.  So simply when you face any stressful situation do the following

  • Find a quiet place where you can be alone
  • Breathe in and count in your head to 4, then hold it and count another 4 and finally breathe out in 4.
  • Do this 7 times in a row

And now meditation, it is considered as one of the simplest techniques that help you relax and release stress. Breathing and medtitation are  easy and free stress management activities. If you practice it for at least 10 minutes every day, you will feel different. Meditation also improves cardiovascular health, and achieve a greater capacity for relaxation.

 

4- Be grateful and Positive

Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more likely you will have even more to express gratitude for.” —Zig Ziglar

Simply gratitude is being aware of the blessings in your life and be deeply thankful for them. This kind of behaviors and believe affect your daily life directly. As work stress us so much lately trying to cope up with fast beat of it, we lose our interest of what is really important and what is not. We start to focus on the negative side of things aiming for perfection. Here a thing perfection doesn’t exist.

Being grateful is hugging your best parts and carrying them around all day long so when you feel stressed and you see the world come to an end. You look at them, count some, feel happy for it and keep going. With gratitude comes the positive you. You act on good terms with bad situations because you see the bigger picture of things. Turning it around to challenges that you can overcome not standing still problem that kills you.

 

5- Keep your feet on the ground

“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”― Lao Tzu

This great say of Lao Tzu is simply a hint to not get overwhelmed with your goals and dream that you forget what is real and you get frustrated with what is real.  Remember you goals should be  1- Measureable 2- Specfic 3- Timed 4-

So you need to get realistic goals at work and be able to accept failure or else you will be hunted wih stress and mess ups.

Finally working is about achievements, it’s a really important part of our lives and we need to work to feel ourselves successful. Try to keep your mind sanity and work with in the normal range.
